Sample Containers:
Spectra Laboratories provides bottles and containers in which to collect samples. Sample containers are certified clean and contain the appropriate preservatives and labels. Chain of Custody forms and coolers for preservation are provided at no charge. Special collection kits and devices are provided at an additional charge. Contact the laboratory to have the proper collection supplies prepared for your project.
Sample Handling:
To insure sample integrity and test accuracy, samples should arrive at the laboratory cooled to the proper temperature and as soon as possible following collection. Contact the laboratory regarding holding time limits for analyses and delivery requirements to the lab.
Test Schedule:
The usual schedule for routine testing and reporting are seven to ten business days depending on the project and analyses. Rush processing is available for an additional charge. Spectra Laboratories will work with the client to meet individual needs.
Test Methods:
Spectra Laboratories utilizes generally accepted and industry standard test methodologies and follows strict quality control and quality assurance procedures in the performance of laboratory tests. Test methodologies recommended by ASTM, EPA, DOE are routinely utilized where appropriate.
Payment Terms:
Payment terms for services rendered are Net Due 30 days from invoice date. An invoice is usually provided with the laboratory report. A late fee of 1% per month will be applied to the outstanding balance for late payment. Account Statements will be sent by the fifteenth day of the following month for outstanding accounts. Other arrangements can be made upon request. Spectra Laboratories accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, check, money order or cash.
Rush Charges:
An additional fee of 50% of the list price will be added for rush service. Rush samples must arrive in the laboratory prior to 3PM or the time received will be considered to be 8 AM the following business day. One or two day turnaround time is defined as the delivery of verbal or FAX reports by 5 PM the next business day or day thereafter, respectively, following receipt of sample.
Limitation of Liability:
Spectra Laboratories limits its liability for services provided to the accuracy and timeliness of the test procedures performed according to generally accepted industry methods and standards. Liability is limited only to the invoiced amount and only to the entity to which services were provided. Spectra Laboratories assumes no responsibility for the interpretation, utilization or presentation of report data by the client or other parties or for the occurrence of results from such action.
